Mezzanine Investment into Branch campus of University
The client a Private Equity branch of a regional bank was considering investing into a Branch campus of a forgeign university. The Univeristy has looking at expanding with funds required for constructing a new building. The funds were to be provided as a Mix of Debt and Equity. We were assigned to do a Startegic Land scape Analyis and provide a feed back on if the bank should invetsment should go ahead with ethe investment or noy or not. We Conducted primary and secondary research to understand the market, to understand the postioning, The acceptablity of the offering , the competition etc. We made the recomendation to go ahead with the invetsment. Based on our recomndation the bank went ahead with the invest into the Branch campus and made much money in return
We have worked with various nursery owners to help with nursery set up. These were either first time investors into nursery or existing nursery Operators. For some of the first time invetsors into their first venture, we helped to find the ideal location for the new nursery , checked if the location would get approval or would i be denied. Did a detiled financial plan for the venture. Did an assesment of the local competitors nad gave advise on student numbers and fees. We also did teh academic plan for them so that tehy can be submitted ot the regulator and get the approval we have helped Clients in Dubai , Abu Dhabi, Sharjah where there was an existing nursery and the regulator SPE asked for a new Academic plan , we created the same and and changes as reqested by the regulator till the permit was issued.
We have done Market reseraech related to many educational institutes. They were for Universities, School and Nurseries. We have done Primary and Secondary market research. Under the Primary Market Research we have done, focus groups, In depth Interviews With teachers, Students, parents, School Operators, Recruiters etc. With parents we try to understand their priotities for selecting schools, what are the priorities etc.
