The first Chinese school in Dubai, known as Chinese School Dubai (CSD), opened in September 2020. This school is significant as it’s the first to offer a Chinese national curriculum for full-time K-12 education outside of China. Located in Mirdif, it serves as a non-profit institution aimed at providing education primarily to the Chinese community in Dubai, although it also accepts students from other backgrounds.
Chinese School Dubai offers an enriched curriculum that includes the Chinese national curriculum along with Arabic as a second language, Islamic studies, moral education, and UAE studies based on the UAE national curriculum. The school was established as a collaborative effort between China and the UAE to strengthen bilateral relations and cultural exchanges, and it is supported financially by the Chinese government. The faculty includes teachers directly recruited from Hangzhou, which ensures that the school adheres to high educational standards.
The school’s curriculum and educational approach are based on the model of Hangzhou No. 2 High School in China, renowned for its high-level educational practices and international outlook
